How the system works

CopoMais steps

1. Cup deposit

Each CopoMais cup comes with a €0.50 deposit. You pay it when you get your drink - and you get it back when you return the cup.

2. Return machines

Return your cup at any CopoMais machine in the city. Scan the QR code on the cup to find the nearest one.

3. Deposit refund

At the machine, tap your card or digital wallet, insert the cup, and confirm the return. Your €0.50 is refunded to the card you tapped, usually within two days.

4. Cleaning and logistics

Once returned, cups are collected, washed, checked, and sent back out for reuse — ready for the next night out.

5. Digital platform

A secure digital system keeps track of deposits, cup circulation, and reuse — making the whole process simple, smooth and transparent.
